Getting started
- How do I get started?
- Sign in with your email, create your company, and record how it was formed. Or connect your AI and tell it what happened: it prepares the entries, and you confirm.
- Can I try it before entering our own register?
- Yes. On an empty Companies page, choose Try a sample company, or ask your AI for one: Blåsippan Robotics AB, an invented company of your own with its history already entered, from formation to a round and an option programme. Add entries, simulate and export. Nothing in it is real. Remove it on its Company tab when you are done.
- The sign-in email did not arrive.
- Check the spam folder, and check that the address is spelled right. Each link works once; ask for a new one from the sign-in page.
- Is this our company's legal share register?
- Yes, if you keep it here. By law the board keeps the aktiebok; aktiebok.io is where you keep it. You can export it at any time.
- Can I move from another platform or a spreadsheet?
- Yes. Your AI moves the full history across, and aktiebok.io checks the result share by share against your old register before anything is saved. The files are not kept afterwards.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing. aktiebok.io is free, powered by Sting, Stockholm's startup accelerator.
- Is it in Swedish?
- The app is in English. Swedish legal terms are kept as they are, with an explanation when you hover over them.
The register
- What is a draft?
- One or more events you have added but not confirmed. Nothing is registered until you confirm. A draft's events are confirmed together or not at all.
- Where did my draft go?
- Under Companies, in "Waiting for your review". Only you see your own drafts. A draft waits until you confirm or discard it.
- What does "Stam" mean?
- A company with one share class simply has shares, often called stamaktier. Classes named A, B and so on are for companies whose bolagsordning has several classes.
- The issue is decided but not registered yet. Can I enter it?
- Yes. Answer "Not yet" on the form. The shares enter the register at once and the share capital changes from the registration. When the registreringsbevis arrives, press "Not registered" on the entry in History. That completes the issue's own entry; no new entry is made.
- What happens if a company does not keep its share register?
- The board must keep the aktiebok and let anyone who asks see it. Failing to keep it or to make it available, on purpose or through carelessness, is punishable with a fine or prison for up to a year (aktiebolagslagen 30 kap 1 §).
- Does aktiebok.io file with Bolagsverket?
- No. You file with Bolagsverket as before and record the registration here.
- How do I enter warrants, employee options or a convertible loan?
- Warrants and options are entered as a programme under Add entry, Warrants & options; a convertible loan is entered as an issue on the day it converts. The guide takes each of them step by step.
- Why can't I remove a share class?
- A class can be removed only while no shares exist in it and no warrants or options give shares in it.
- Can I see the register as it was on an earlier date?
- Yes. Every company page has a date field. Pick a date and the pages show that day, with each holder's details as they are now. If something was entered in the register later than it happened, a line under the date says so and lets you see the register as it stood on that day.
Mistakes and corrections
- What if we make a mistake?
- Nothing is written until you confirm it. After that, a wrong date, basis or price is corrected on the entry, and the history shows what it said before. Anything else, such as the wrong holder or number of shares, is reversed and recorded again, and the history keeps both.
- How do I correct a date, a basis or a price?
- Open History and press Correct on the entry. No shares move. A date can only move where the entry keeps its place among the others; otherwise reverse it and enter it again.
- How do I reverse an entry?
- Open History and press Reverse on the entry. If a later entry touched the same shares, reverse that one first.
- Why can't I delete a holder?
- A holder that anything in the register has ever pointed at stays in its history. To stop their access, clear Visible to on the holder.
- I entered the wrong personnummer or address.
- Open Holders and press Edit on the holder. Holder details can be corrected without an entry.
Your AI
- Which AI apps work?
- Any app that takes a custom MCP connector. Under Your AI, Connect has Add to Claude, the steps for ChatGPT and the address for other apps; the app sends you here to sign in and approve it. Apps and scripts that take a key use Manual setup with a token.
- Can my AI change the register on its own?
- Only if you give it Full access, and even then it shows you the draft and asks first. With "Can draft" it prepares drafts and you confirm them here. With "Read only" it can only look.
- How do I cut an AI app off?
- Revoke it under Tokens; it stops working at once. Removing aktiebok.io inside the AI app does not revoke it here.
- I lost a token.
- Revoke it under Tokens and create a new one. A token is shown once and cannot be read again.
- Is a simulation saved?
- No. A simulated round or exit changes nothing and is not stored. Export it to Excel if you want to keep it.
Account and data
- How do I change my email address?
- Add your new address as an admin of your companies, ask the companies you hold shares in to update Visible to, then sign in with the new address and delete the old account.
- Every admin of our company has lost access. How do we get back in?
- Sign in with the company's backup email, the mailbox set on the Company tab, and claim access under Companies. Every admin is told by email and any of them can cancel the claim; after seven days the backup address becomes an admin. Nobody is removed.
- Why can't I delete my account?
- You are the only admin of a company. Add another admin or remove the company first.
- What happens if we remove a company?
- It disappears for everyone at once and is deleted for good after 30 days. Until then an admin can restore it. Download the export first: the aktiebok must be kept for as long as the company exists and for at least ten years after it is dissolved.
- Do you send newsletters?
- No. We email you a sign-in link, and a notice if the terms change. Nothing else.
- Do you track visitors?
- No. There are no analytics, no advertising cookies and nothing to accept.
- Is our register used to train an AI?
- No. Your register is never used to train a model, and there is no AI inside aktiebok.io: the one you connect is your own.
- Can we get our data out?
- Yes, at any time: the share register, cap table, history and holders as an Excel workbook, a PDF or CSV files.
